Verastate was founded on a simple observation: agents are doing extraordinary work every day — negotiating, connecting, educating, serving — yet they had no dedicated space to build professional presence, share knowledge, and grow alongside peers.

Jonnathan Crawford

Founder & CEO

Jonnathan Crawford is the founder and driving force behind Verastate. With a background spanning technology, entrepreneurship, and a genuine passion for the real estate industry, he built Verastate to bridge a gap he saw firsthand — the lack of a true professional home for real estate agents and agencies.

Jonnathan recognized that the fragmented tools available to real estate professionals were holding the industry back. Agents were using social media platforms not built for them, listing portals with no community, and email chains that went nowhere. He set out to build something different: a platform that puts the professional first.

Beyond the networking layer, Jonnathan's vision for Verastate's property marketplace reflects his belief that buying a home should feel as connected and informed as any major life decision — where buyers engage directly with professionals, and agents get the audience their listings deserve.

Based across South Africa and the United States, Jonnathan is building Verastate with a long-term vision: to become the definitive professional network for real estate in both markets — and eventually, the world.
